So it’s been hammered the with the honour of being Caffe Nero’s artist of the month….umm- perplexed? I am too! If going by the opinion of a coffee conglomerate seals your view on this band, then good on yer! However, whilst stirring my cappuccino you can understand why this album works with the chilled /caffeine masses.

This album has a relaxed tone - setting a laid back environment where you can perch your feet on the foot stool and venture to the land of nod. Solace vocals and lethargic beats makes this album a winner.

Press Release:
“Glenn Gregory is best known as the front man for Heaven 17 (the band behind the hit Temptation) but for the last few years he’s been one half of Honeyroot and they’ve just made one of the best albums of the year” says Daniel Griffiths, editor of Future Music, one of the UK’s leading music production magazines.

Today’s most successful artists have one thing in common – the ability to re-invent themselves and challenge their audiences and Glenn Gregory has done just that – he has evolved into the chief writer, producer and performer in Electronic outfit, Honeyroot.  Teaming up with music partner Keith Lowndes, their latest album ‘The Sun Will Come’, juxtaposes intense energy with a calming ambience set over blissful dreamscapes and a solid bass.

Second single from the album ‘Where I Belong’ fuses laid back country melodies with upbeat ska. Given the track’s Country music leanings, Glenn and Keith were keen to get a bonafide country singer for the vocal, so they tracked down acclaimed Nashville country star Kim Richie, well known on the international country scene for her “Glimmer” album.  Her floating vocal beautifully wraps up this optimistic piece of dance, pop perfection.

With comparisons to such artists as Air, Moby, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Daft Punk, and Portishead, Honeyroot are now poised firmly to follow in their footsteps of success. Released on 13th August on Eco Friendly independent label Just Music, ‘The Sun Will Come’ is being hailed as one of the best albums of 2007 and a must for beach parties to dance floors across the globe.

"This has to be the best kept secret in Aberdeen!! Good selection of live music/open mic/comedy and djs on weekly. Even though the bar is tiny it creates a really good atmosphere and the drinks are fairly inexpensive - especially if you're a student!!"

"A bar you will always want to go back to, as after 5minutes of walking in for the first time, you are no longer a stranger. Always good music and the Guiness is how it should be. "

"Overpriced, overtrendy & over here. Better choice at better prices elsewhere imho. Won't be here this time next year if turnover of local giftshops is anything to go by - RIP Sugar? lol! ;-o"
