As band names go…the weirder the better - take Pigeon Detectives, for instance. But along with the wackier strides of being on top of the music scene, you have to have the skillset too. So don’t judge this band by their name, but by their talent only!

Hailing from Finland, they have struck a chord not only with the UK, but the US too. Claming tones meshed with the briskly huskiness of Reeta’ s dulcet vocals, Husky Rescue need no rescuing at all. Who has the huskiest voice out of Husky Rescue?
Reeta, our singer of course!

How has the limelight been treating you?
I just tried to find the definition for the word “limelight”- it could also be put as focus of attention, spotlight, media attention… I guess its been great. We hope we can bring our own sound technician to our forth coming performances.

Have you made any celebrity pals yet, if so who?
I’ve been trying desperately mail Keira Knightley and call New Young Pony Club´s drummer. No success…yet.

On the road with nothing ado-how do you kill time?
I sort of hate all kinds of games! The others like playing some awful word games, like starting a sentence with the one you are ending with – awful. That brings up so many bad memories of meeting girlfriend’s parents for the first time and it turns to a nightmarish situation playing pictionary, trivial pursuit or some other horrible games.

Who would Husky Rescue liked to be rescued by?
I would like to be rescued by the drummer of New Young Pony Club.

Can your sound be pigeon-holed to a specific genre? Where do Husky Rescue slot in?
Oh yeah, If there’s one name “My Mum Likes This”?!

What makes your music appealing?
A good pleasant sound…

Blur v/s Oasis, Sugarbabes v/s Girls Aloud…who is your rivalry?
Aah, hhhm, I don’t like any kind of games as I’ve already mentioned above…. But I would like to challenge Air to cross country ski against us.

Ghost Is Not Real is your album –does it have a re-occurring theme?
Oh yes, there’s ghosts lurking behind every door.

What is Husky Rescue’s ultimate goal?
We will get Reeta to some of the leading roles in Hollywood pretty soon, and then I will buy a summer cottage in Lapland. And next time when I go to Texas, all Texan fathers has to be aware- I will steal your daughters.
