Make-up artist Ariane Poole and top model talent-spotter Harriet Close explains why curves and character are back in vogue ...

The fashion and media world is shunning air brushing, flawless models under a blitz of criticism that they do not reflect the look of ‘real women.’  Everyday women cannot relate to the glamorous offerings seen in magazine covers and TV programmes which is why we have started to see more down-to-earth representatives of women on our screens such as Holly Willoughby and Kate Thornton.

One woman who is particularly concerned with this issue is leading make-up artist Ariane Poole.  Ariane has worked with some of the most classically beautiful women in the world including Catherine Zeta Jones, Penelope Cruz and Uma Thurman and as a result is well aware of the pressure on the woman in the street to replicate that.

In a bid to raise awareness about this issue Ariane is currently helping leaders in internal skincare leaders Imedeen find the new face for their Prime Renewal internal skin care supplement.  Unlike most model searches however this scouting process is not for a size ten perfectly preened model, but for a real-life mature woman who has a certain ‘je ne sais quoi.’  Mature women from across the country of all shapes, sizes and styles are being invited to come forward and lend their unique beauty to the campaign.
