It seems that Jade Goody is taking her role as Mum very seriously this year and plans to make Christmas all about her children.

And the reality TV star, who is perhaps best known for her dappy remarks and childish comments, seems to be very comfortable with her new mature approach.

Discussing her plans for the festive holiday, the usually boisterous blonde commented: "I don’t even drink on Christmas day, my Christmas is all about my kids, Boxing day is when I get drunk!"

And it seems that there will be no half measures where Jade’s family Christmas is concerned.

Returning to the subject of her children, the star revealed: "They have their own Christmas tree, I have my own Christmas tree - mine’s all pretty, theirs has got paper chains or whatever they wanna put on it. When they go to bed I put all snow on the floor and make all footprints and I make a real big effort for them so when they wake up they’re like, ’Oh he’s really been.’"

No wedding bells for Jade - Dec 6 2007
Contrary to media speculation, it seems that former Big Brother star Jade Goody is not quite ready to play wifey.

"I don’t know where this marriage rumour came from," said the 26-year-old of claims she is set to tie the knot with boyfriend Jack Tweed. "There is no wedding."

And though she admitted to making a joke about running off to Vegas, Jade insisted that this was never serious.

"When I get married, I want to do it properly," the reality TV star revealed.

"Marriage is really important to me and I think you should only get married once and you should make it work."

When discussing her preparations for Christmas dinner, the star commented: "I didn’t know you could eat conkers. They’re chestnuts. I didn’t know conkers were chestnuts."

And referring to the turkey, she joyfully added: "Apparently they used to give the bums to the poor people - the Christmas carol singers that came round.

"Or is that just what I’ve been told?"

Jade to wed on TV? - Nov 28 2007
Jade Goody is apparently planning to marry boyfriend Jack Tweed on TV.

The Big Brother star is hoping to resurrect her flagging career - and has been pitching the idea to a number of broadcasters, including ITV, reports The Sun.

However - it seems that no one is very keen on the idea.

"Jade is up for this being her latest foray into reality TV," an insider said.

"But she has struggled this year ever since her big Celebrity Big Brother debacle.

"Being caught up in the race row has sent her career into freefall."

Jade, 26, and Jack, 20 have had a rocky few months and the couple split after Jade - who has two sons Bobby and Freddy by her ex Jeff Brazier - suffered a miscarriage in June. However, the couple soon rekindled their romance.

A spokesman confirmed Jade had been in talks with a TV production company about the wedding idea but said: "It’s early days."
