Jack Osbourne has apparently revealed that he misses having his mum around since her rise to global stardom.

The Adrenaline Junkie star, 21, is quoted by Digital Spy as saying he found it hard to deal with his mum's new found fame as a judge on X Factor, despite growing up with dad Ozzy's success.

He said: "With my mum, it was hard to get used to the fact she was on TV all of the time, and then she's my mum at home. She's got to entertain people so she's not going to be on the phone, doing business and holding the dog."

He added: "She has a persona to keep up with, and I had to get used to that."

Jack's older sister Kelly is also carving out something of a showbiz niche for herself - she's currently starring in her West End debut as Mama Morton in Chicago.

It seems Jack Osbourne has sister Kelly to blame for his less than impressive love life.  The reality television star claims his raven-haired sibling ruins his budding romances before they get exciting.

"She scares them off," the 20-year-old, who is not thought to be dating anyone at the moment, is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying.  I’ll be with a girl and Kelly will go, ’You’re ugly! F**k off’."

And it sounds as if Jack - son of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy and X Factor judge Sharon - would rather his sister didn’t vet his potential love interests, even if she is only thinking of him.  "She may be right but that’s why I haven’t had sex for four months!" he laughed.

Jack recently admitted he would like to settle down with his Miss Right.  "I would like a serious girlfriend. You always want the things you don’t have," he told the Daily Mirror.

Jack - the son of hellraiser Ozzy Osbourne and TV star Sharon Osbourne – started experimenting with narcotics at the age of 12 because they helped him block out the feeling of being isolated.

He said: “I was this fat kid with big specs in Hollywood, where everyone is beautiful, and I’d dealt with that by making myself look like a teenage freak. I do know that inside me I wanted to be someone else.”

The 20-year-old – who has recently starred in several high-adrenaline TV shows – says he has swapped drugs for a new thrill-seeking addiction.

He told Britain’s Sunday Live magazine: “You could say I’ve swapped one addiction for another. But I am so much more in control. I’d rather be facing one of the most dangerous physical feats in the world than getting out of my head. I really was killing myself back then and it was all pointless.”

The 19-year-old says as a child he thought his rock star dad was "cool" for partying and losing control with alcohol and drugs. But the newly svelte star admits after following in his father’s footsteps his wild lifestyle became too much - and he came close to committing suicide.
