A source said: "Jermain’s already been out there and has drawn up a shortlist of properties for Dani to look at.

"So when she goes out she can see which of those she likes best. Jermain’s mum Sandra is going with her as she was born on the island and knows it well.

"The idea of buying a house out there is especially dear to Jermain due to his Caribbean heritage while model Dani loves anywhere where she can relax in the sun and top up her tan.

Danielle Lloyd is apparently looking for a £2 million house in the Midlands to share with footballer boyfriend Jermain Defoe.

The pair are currently living in Jermain’s Hertfordshire mansion - which he will hang on to, according to the Daily Star.

An insider told the paper: "She is really keen on investing in bricks and mortar and said that her latest hunt was for a waterside pad within reach of Birmingham.

"She has her property and Jermain has his but this is the first place that they’ll invest in together so she’s understandably excited and wants it to be romantic.

"They’re looking around the £2 million mark and Dani said she’d found some lovely places in Kidderminster but that’s not exactly where she wants.

"Where she’d really like to find a bolthole is by the river in Stratford-upon-Avon. She fancies a little Shakespearian-style cottage with full-on beams, the whole shebang."

Danielle Lloyd has accepted substantial undisclosed damages over a claim that she had sex with rapper 50 Cent while going out with footballer Marcus Bent.

The 23-year-old former Miss Great Britain and Celebrity Big Brother contestant was at London’s High Court for the settlement of her action against the Daily Mirror.

Her solicitor-advocate, Magnus Boyd, told Mr Justice Eady that, in July, it published a story with the headline, "Fiddy’s no diddy, Danielle looking wobbly after a big night in with 50 Cent".

It alleged that Danielle had sexually propositioned 50 Cent and, on another occasion, propositioned singer Jason Orange.

It also claimed she’d sex with 50 Cent whilst going out with Wigan Athletic star Bent.

Mr Boyd said: "The allegations were false. Danielle Lloyd did not proposition 50 Cent or Jason Orange, sexually or otherwise, nor did she have sex with 50 Cent and nor was she going out with, and therefore unfaithful to, Marcus Bent."

Mr Boyd said that MGN Limited now accepted that the hurtful article, which caused Danielle distress and embarrassment, was untrue.

He added that the newspaper never sought to defend the truth of the allegations, accepted that it was wrong to publish the story and published an apology the same month.

It had also agreed to pay substantial damages and her legal costs.

Afterwards, Danielle would not reveal the amount of the damages.

She said she was "devastated by the disgusting lies" which had been published.

She added: "I am glad The Daily Mirror has now admitted they published lies about me and I hope their admission and today’s statement in court will go some way to restoring my reputation."
