"Marilyn began shouting at her, saying, ’Who do you think you are?’ Kerry was having a go back and then a scuffle broke out."

A camera crew from MTV, who are following Kerry around for a new fly-on-the-wall show, captured the catfight on tape - but it seems the 27-year-old has begged them to erase the tape.

"The camera crew couldn’t believe their luck. If they don’t erase the tape, it will make great TV," the source apparently added.

"But poor Kerry was mortified that her party had ended the way it did. She just wants to show the public that she’s a nice person. And the thing is, none of it was her fault.

"Her family are really important to her and she thought the party was a great opportunity for them all to get together."

Speaking on tonight’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, she says: "I took drugs because they made me feel confident, it looked like I was enjoying my life.

"I can never say never will I touch a drug again, I just never want to go down that road again. I’m taking it one day at a time."

She also insisted that the media give her a hard time.

"I get slated more than anyone," she rants. "Whatever I do is wrong, it’s part of the media. Since my divorce they’ve pulled me down. It’s a downfall of mine that I’m too honest. I’ve made mistakes in my life but I’m saying, give me a break!"

The mum-of-three also opens up about her notoriously difficult relationship with her mother.

She says: "I wish my mother no harm, I love her, but I’m a better person without her in my life."

Kerry Katona is to star in her own fly-on-the-wall reality show.

The Osbournes-style MTV series will follow the former Atomic Kitten and her family. Cameras will film her up to the birth of her fourth child in May.

Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love will certainly have no shortage of drama. The 27-year-old has gone through a high-profile divorce, been admitted to rehab for cocaine addiction, faced armed raiders at her £1.5 million Cheshire home and endured various accusations over her latest marriage, to cab driver Mark Croft.

They wed at Gretna Green on Valentine’s Day, a week before the birth of daughter Heidi. She is currently fighting her ex-husband, former Westlife star Brian McFadden, over custody of their two daughters.

MTV said: "In this no-holds-barred reality show, Kerry and new hubby Mark take over the Osbournes’ mantle to offer a zany, off-the-wall insight into their entertaining and extraordinary lives.

"Following the young, loved-up couple from now until the birth of their fourth child in May, our cameras will follow Kerry as she launches her first novel and a brand new perfume.

"Alongside various other professional obligations and launches, Kerry and Mark will also be filmed as they attend court to fight their respective custody battles."

It is not known whether Kerry will allow cameras into the delivery room.

She recently attracted criticism for continuing to smoke and drink whilst pregnant.

Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love will begin on February 17 on MTV One.
