Latest - Goo Goo Dolls confimed!

What’s It About?
Is there anything O2 can’t do? They can reinvent the dome, capture the adulations of the iPhone loving public and still find the time to host the brashest, loudest event on the festival calendar. Laughy, huggy local fest this most certainly ain’t – this is as big and riotous a festival as you’re going to find on these shores but if that’s your thing, well… chances are you’ll already have clawed your way to a ticket

Sited in Hyde Park means that there’s not a tent or camper van in sight at the O2 festival, but is instead a weekend of some of the biggest names and classic acts in dance and indie. This year’s lineup has so far been confirmed as featuring the likes of FatBoy Slim, Underworld and Does It Offend You Yeah? with many more to be confirmed closer to the event

The Leeds O2 Wireless show has now unfortunately been axed, with focus solely on the Hyde Park event, but promoters are promising that this year will be unbeaten for cream of the crop acts.

Keep checking back for updates on headliners as the weeks go on

"Why travel out of the capital when you can enjoy a weekend of cutting edge music, celebrity spotting and, errr unpredictable weather..

Armed with brollies, ponchos and wellies, we were spared the torrential rain (on my first day that is). By late afternoon it was so warm that party goers, families and young folks were sprawled across the lawn with their picnic and cider in hand. With the background chimes of Scandi-pop queen Robyn, the eccentric Swede really rocked the crowd. Young fans swirled hips and others wiggled away, especially when Every Heartbeat ripped aloud. By the time DJ Norman Cook aka Fat Boy Slim hit the decks, the atmosphere was magical and with an amazing sun settling over the London skyline, it mirrored the sultry shenanigans of Ibiza mayhem.

Sunday line up was a sold out gig, and no wonder why with the Goo Goo Dolls, Powderfinger, Ben Harper and Counting Crows among the bill. An eclectic crowd stood out, diverse in all genres, fans were all geared up for a great time. Notably Powderfingers stole the show, as fest-goers sang in unison. Drenched yet very apparent, Aussie flags wavered in the air while gold and green painted faces graced the field, creating an amazing surrounding for when the sun finally arrived.

On the main stage the musical genius, Ben Harper captured the audience. Arguably one of the greatest guitarist on the planet; his show was one to remember. With all that love and melody in the air, Counting Crows had everybody rocking for their final set of the weekend…. Sadly now, we have to wait another year for the next O2 Wireless festival!"
