Located in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Fens, with plenty of vistas and landscape to take in, Ely Folk Festival promotes an impressive menu of folk orientated entertainment.
Alongside live music, expect workshops, displays, ceilidhs and children’s entertainment, as well as tasty real ale, fabulous food and market stalls.
The artists programme spans all manner of talent, from established favourites through to new talent, plus should you wish to participate and air your ability to the general public at large, there are numerous opportunities to get up on stage. Workshops offer a great chance to learn from festival performers, who will be leading guitar, fiddle and bodhran sessions, plus don’t miss the French dance workshops and the Meet the Artistes sessions.
And in keeping with their traditional roots, you can expect to see Morris displays both on site and in town.
Book now if you love: Men wearing bells and waving hankies, and ale fuelled shindigs.
Don’t miss: Martin Simpson and Show of Hands
