What’s it about? From the hottest new bands to the legends that inspired them, Oxegen is back for 2008 offering up some of the best live music and billing itself as ‘The Greatest Rock n Roll Weekend of the Year’.
This is your most straight-out rock n roll festival, with no gimmicks, no high-flung ideas - if you’ve been hankering for a messy weekend at the height of Summer then this is the one to go for. Last year’s lineup included Muse, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Razorlight, Arcade Fire and there’s already been some rumblings of the bigger names on this year’s bill
The emphasis at this fest is most definitely the music, but you can expect all the usual shenanigans from market and food stalls, through to a funfair where you can challenge your food and beer to a second viewing.
Book now if you love: indie music and getting wapped out of your head on cheap beer
Don’t miss: Kings of Leon, they’ve been announced on the bill and definitely ones to watch
Want to go? Tickets officially go on sale from March 8th, but you can get Early Bird discount offers at the moment. See www.oxegen.ie for details
